Territory Outfitter was founded to bring a much-needed standard of excellence to the outfitting and guiding industry. Our mission is simple: provide high-quality, memorable hunts for a variety of big game species across Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Old Mexico. As a “small giant,” Territory Outfitter is made up of a dedicated team of expert hunters and guides who consistently deliver results. Over the years, we have achieved an impressive 96% shot opportunity and 100% success rate on select species, proving that our approach works.
We take pride in offering personalized hunting experiences. Each season, we carefully select a limited number of hunters for each species to ensure small, focused camps with maximum opportunity. Through extensive pre-season scouting, our team evaluates herds and habitat to determine the optimal number of hunters for each hunt. This deliberate approach ensures that every hunter has the best chance for a successful and rewarding experience. Territory Outfitter was founded in 2017 by Brian Curtis, a licensed outfitter in New Mexico and a professional guide in Arizona, New Mexico, and Wyoming. Built on a lifelong dedication to ethical hunting and wildlife conservation, the operation reflects decades of hands-on experience in the field. Mr. Curtis also serves as an Official Measurer for the Boone and Crockett Club and the Pope and Young Club, upholding the integrity and proper recognition of North America’s most respected trophy records.
Mr. Curtis is a published and accomplished author within the hunting industry, known for his works Guided Confidential, Self-Film Hunting, and the Untamed: Modern Hunting Short Stories series. Across his writing, he brings a storyteller’s depth and perspective to every hunt, capturing not only the pursuit itself but also the landscapes, wildlife behavior, and emotional weight that define the experience in the field.
He is also the creator of the self-filmed hunting series Territory, a collection of short films that document diverse big game hunts and the unique moments that make each one memorable. Through his work as a guide, writer, and filmmaker, Mr. Curtis remains dedicated to preserving the traditions, ethics, and authenticity of the modern Western hunt.
